1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Romtrans Express LLC (“Romtrans,” “we,” “us”) is a for-hire trucking carrier based in Conroe, Texas (USDOT 3078202, MC-65124). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through rom-trans.com, our online forms, our online ads, and when you call, text or email us, and how we use, share and protect it.
This policy applies to website visitors, shippers and brokers who request a quote, and drivers and owner-operators who contact us or apply to work with Romtrans. By using our website or sending us your information, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quote requests: name, email, phone number, shipment weight and distance, pickup and delivery locations, lane type, freight type, and any message you add.
- Driver and owner-operator inquiries: name, phone number, email, city, the position you are interested in, your driving experience, and any message you add.
- Driver applications: our online driver application is hosted by IntelliApp (driverapponline.com). It collects the information needed to qualify drivers under U.S. Department of Transportation rules, such as CDL details, employment history and driving history.
- Calls, texts, emails and social media messages: the information you choose to share when you contact us.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as your Social Security number or license number, in our contact or quote forms.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on the site, the website or ad that brought you to us, and your approximate location (city or region). Section 4 explains these tools and your choices.
Information from other sources
If you apply to drive with us, and only with your written authorization, we may obtain your driving record, safety history from previous employers, and drug and alcohol testing history, as federal motor carrier safety rules require. Advertising platforms may also give us reports about how our ads perform.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to quote requests and provide our transportation services.
- Answer driver and owner-operator inquiries, review applications, and onboard new drivers.
- Contact you by phone, email or text message about your request (see Section 5).
- Run, secure and improve our website.
- Show our ads to people who may be interested in Romtrans and measure how well those ads work (see Section 4).
- Meet our legal and safety obligations, including U.S. Department of Transportation and FMCSA requirements.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to make our website work, understand how visitors use it, and show and measure our online ads. The tools we use include:
- Google Analytics – to understand website traffic and how visitors use our pages.
- Google Ads – for conversion tracking (knowing when someone who clicked our ad contacts us) and remarketing.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) – to measure our ads and show them to relevant audiences.
- Google Fonts – to display text on our website; Google receives your IP address when fonts load.
Remarketing and personalized advertising
We use remarketing and Google Analytics Advertising Features, including remarketing and demographics and interests reporting, to advertise online. This means:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on websites across the internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on your past visits to our website.
- We and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) together with third-party cookies (such as Google advertising cookies) to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits, and to report how ad impressions and ad interactions relate to visits to our website.
- We may also upload email addresses you gave us to Google or Meta in hashed (encrypted) form. We never upload mobile numbers or text message consent data for this purpose. They use it only to match it to their users, so they can show relevant ads or measure conversions, and then discard the match data under their own terms.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
How to opt out
- Google ads: turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings.

5. Phone calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number through a form, an application, or by contacting us, you agree that Romtrans may call or text you about your quote, inquiry or application. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details in Section 10.
- Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of doing business with us or of applying to drive with us.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or your text message opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that handle this information are the service providers that deliver our messages for us.
6. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting and form tools, our driver application platform (IntelliApp), email, phone and text message providers, dispatch and transportation management software, and the analytics and advertising tools described in Section 4. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Customers and freight partners, only as needed to move a load, for example the name and contact details of the driver assigned to a shipment.
- Driver qualification and safety checks, with your authorization, such as previous employers, consumer reporting agencies and the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Legal reasons, when required by law, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Romtrans, our drivers, our customers or the public.
- Business changes, if Romtrans is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
All of the categories above exclude text message opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver our messages.
7. How long we keep your information and how we protect it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Quote requests and inquiries that do not lead to business with us are kept for a limited time and then deleted. Driver qualification records are kept for as long as federal rules require, generally for the time you drive with us plus three years.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our website and access limited to staff who need it. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we have about you, or get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Stop marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in the email) or text messages (reply STOP).
- Opt out of personalized advertising, using the options in Section 4.
Depending on where you live, including Texas, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. We will respond to your request within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state Attorney General.
To protect you, we will verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for using your privacy rights. Some information, such as driver qualification records, we must keep by law even if you ask us to delete it.
